Can you put up a welcome message on his screen? It was his first visit to campus for a long while. He was pleased to see his name on the honour board and point out his boarding ’home’ in Scotland building, A short visit but we look forward to seeing him again next year. I am sure he will be interested in the web site and JCOBA happenings. Do I get a finders fee?

Lyonel Robinson I will look up and reply, thought the info had been transferred probably had expected Dr Weller to do the honours as I recall the discussion reflected a scholarship offer which I advised best be addressed through old boys to strengthen the association support of the school. I will get back to you.

OK the Pro/Soft or is it Go/Soft matter. I’m aware of the problems that are in the software Dr. Miller is an honest man, unlike Mr Legister for whom all is techtalk and blinding with technology my father had an interesting phrase for such folks from his army days!

I have the habit of taking on new products in local education. One, the start up is usually well supported as they need live problems to sort and the input can be demanded as they do not need bad press. Two, yes you can usually get the product free or the materials on demand.

The network bugs are an evil that could cause some heartache but our need at present is the database in a Ministry friendly format. I cannot see the school coming up next year without this in place, the paper environment is redundant and the errors a nightmare.

I would go to Miller and ask for the software on a we use/abuse …you learn basis. There have to be start ups and J.C. is near enough to be easily visited and large enough to give the full run to the software

I am biased towards the product in part as Miller has his own proven track record which he is not about to burn and I have worked with him and respect his integrity.
